Which Golf Training Course Is Best for a Beginner?

Pat was new to golf, and although he was a pretty good athlete, he had never swung a golf club before. I suggested that he take a golf training course in order to get in shape and learn how to swing the club correctly, but he wanted me to teach him. Since I am no teacher and certainly not qualified to do so, we went online to look for ways to find him a golf training course that would be easy and not too intimidating for him. But where do you go looking for a good course?

- Most local towns and cities have a golf program of some type through their parks department that can either teach you how to play or how to get into shape to play. By taking a golf fitness training of this kind, you can get your body into the shape that it needs to be in order to withstand 18 holes.

- You will also find that your local community college or university will have a golf swing training that can help, too. They will often teach down at the local driving range or the local golf course and you can get a lot of instruction for not a lot of money.

- Perhaps the best place to get golf lessons is online. There are some very good websites that will teach you everything from how to hold the club to how to address the ball. Many of these lessons are free and you will learn from some very experienced professionals.

- Even in today's online world, most people take their golf training course lessons at the local golf course from a pro. You can also do this at a driving range, where there is usually at least a part-time pro in attendance. These lessons are not always cheap and some people walk away from them completely confused, but you might end up finding the answers that you are looking for.

Once Pat found some good online lessons to help him out, he gained the confidence that he needed to go down to the driving range and practice on his own. It wasn't too long before he was ready for me to take him out on the course. He has turned out to be a pretty good player, thanks to all the research and the practice that he has put in over the past few months.
